Saint John the Evangelist
Catholic Church

"I came that they may have life and have it to the full."
John 10:10

A view from the west on May 7th which showed much of the landscaping that had been recently planted.  Many of  the tiles on the main roof had not been put in place, as the parapets were not painted.

A view from the south west on February 8th.  The painting were completed and some tiles were installed; all of the tiles on the roof between the buildings and some on the church.  On February 26th the sanctuary ceiling was completed, the scaffolding removed, and the first stain glass windows could be seen from the inside (see the home page).

Aerial view from the south east- photo taken on January 7th.

The roof was complete except for installation of the tiles which had been laid on the roof.  Placing the tiles on the roof loaded the roof the same as if the tiles were installed.  After they had been in place for three days, the roof deflected and materials could be attached to the bottom side.  All of the stucco was finished on the walls and painting with a primer had been started.  Since the parapets extended above the roof, the painting was completed before the tiles were installed.  Thus the possibility of getting paint on the tiles.was reduced.
